FAW Toyota CKD Supplies Project Launched in Tianjin

On December 15, the kick-off ceremony for the CKD supplies project of Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. was held in Tianjin Development Zone.

In the speech, Any Shushan, party secretary of the Tianjin Development Zone (Nangang Industrial Zone) and chief of the management committee, stated that FAW Toyota is one of the most important foreign-invested enterprises in Tianjin, and its output value ranks first among the top 100 companies in the zone. For many years, FAW Toyota has continuously introduced new products, gathered suppliers, and increased production capacity, which has made tremendous contributions to the economic development of the development zone and even the entire city. The FAW Toyota CKD supply project started construction, further improving the Toyota Motor product supply chain, fully demonstrating FAW Toyota's Zage Development Zone, continuing to grow and strengthen its confidence and determination, and marking the strategic cooperation between Toyota and the development zone. Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. started construction of the 26,000 square meters of supplies factory and more than 3000 square meters of auxiliary living facilities. The new plant mainly produces accessories for more than 10 series models produced by Tianjin FAW Toyota. The plant is expected to be completed in August 2012, and the plant will be installed in September of the same year, and will be put into production in May 2013. After the project is completed and put into production, the annual output value will reach about 2 billion yuan, providing employment opportunities for 500 people.
